Louise Taft

Louise joined Duncan Lewis in March 2010.  She specialises in Employment Law, representing both individuals and businesses in the Employment Tribunal, advising employees with Compromise Agreements, drafting Contracts of Employment and Staff Handbooks and advising employers on how to deal with any issues that arise with their employees.

Louise has extensive experience as an advocate in the Employment Tribunal, which she uses to advise employers how they can avoid claims and whether settlements offered to employees are worth accepting.

Louise has a particular interest in Discrimination Law but also advises with regards to unfair and wrongful dismissal, whistleblowing claims, the working time regulations, unpaid wages and bonuses and restrictive covenants.

She has acted in a number of appeals in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal including reported cases Abegare v Shrewsbury College and Langley v Burlo.
